How to use

INTENDED USE: the ThermX HOT/COLD reusable ice/heating gel pack with support strap is designed to naturally relieve pain by using either hot or cold therapy, without the use of medications.

HEAT TREATMENT
MICROWAVE: From room temperature, place the gel pack into the microwave for approximately 30 seconds on high power. Remove using a towel or oven glove.
From frozen, Place the gel pack into the microwave for approximately 30 seconds on high power. Remove using a towel or oven glove and manipulate the pack to distribute the heat.
Re-flatten the pack and place in the microwave for an additional 30 seconds on high power. After this time, check that the correct temperature has been reached. If not, further heating should be in 10 second bursts. It is recommended that the gel pack is wrapped in a cloth before applying to the skin.
HOT WATER: Bring water to boil. Remove from heat and immerse the gel pack for approximately 4-10 minutes. After 4 minutes, check every minute to see if the correct temperature has been reached. Ideal to use for: Thermotherapy (heat therapy) is an effective treatment for pain associated with muscle spasms, muscle injuries, sport injuries and insufficient or poor blood circulation. Heat therapy relaxes injured muscles.

COLD TREATMENT
Store in the freezer so that the pack is ready to use in case of an injury. Approximately 2 hours is required to freeze the gel.
It is recommended that the gel pack is wrapped in a cloth before applying to the skin.
Ideal to use for: Cryotherapy (cold therapy) is effective for the treatment of inflamed swollen tissue and muscles.
Cold therapy reduces blood flow and bleeding.
Cold therapy helps prevent swelling and inflammation.

USING THE SUPPORT STRAP: The ThermX hot/cold therapy pack comes with a completely detachable 85cm support strap, enabling the user to secure the therapy pack to the desired body part. Should any part of the device become worn, torn, dilapidated or dysfunctional, discontinue its use. The strap allows you to use the hot/cold pack on various parts of the body and to hold it in place securely. The stap comes with a loop on one end which can be used if securing to a hand or foot.

Hazards and Cautions

CAUTION: Whether used hot or cold, it is advisable to check that the temperature is not too extreme.

• The gel pack must be wrapped in a cloth or have a barrier between the pack and the skin.


• Do not overheat.


• Do not apply directly to skin.
