Aguulp for Gut with best before end dates up to or including 03/2024 are being recalled because milk is not declared on the label.  This means the products are a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents. If you have this product and have a milk allergy or suffer from lactose intolerance, please do not consume the product. We have been notified by Fitbit that they have announced a voluntary recall of their Ionic Smartwatches. The model number is FB503 and this can be found on the rear of the watch, as shown in the picture above. These watches were sold between 2017 and 2020.

The battery in the watches can overheat, posing a burn hazard to the wearer. As a result owners of these watches are asked to stop using them and register to receive a full refund.

Ecover is recalling bottles of Ecover Zero Non Bio Laundry Liquid 1.5 litres with two specific batch codes due to a safety concern. In Ireland, we recently learned that bottles with these batch codes were among Ecover Zero Non Bio Laundry Liquid 1.5 litres sold at Boots locations in (give towns/communities).


The affected bottles contain potassium hydroxide at hazardous levels that can cause the bottle to leak. Contact with the liquid could result in harm to skin and eyes, including causing skin burns or eye damage.


We are taking this risk very seriously, and we are recalling affected bottles sold and in inventory from Boots in specific locations..


Since this issue specifically affects bottles of Ecover Zero Non Bio Laundry Liquid with two batch codes, we are asking consumers of Boots Ireland to check whether they have the affected product by going to www.ecoverukrecall.com. We strongly advise those consumers who have an affected bottle not to open or use the product, and to handle any leaking bottles with gloved hands.

Danone is recalling one batch of Aptamil Multigrain Banana and Berry cereal 7+ months (200g) with a best before date of 07.07.21. No other batches of this product or any other Aptamil products are affected.
We are recalling these products as a precaution because some have been found to contain small pieces of the blue plastic material used to make the packaging. We are therefore asking parents not to feed Aptamil Multigrain Banana and Berry cereal with this best before date to their babies.
The blue plastic is clearly visible in contrast to the cereal. If parents have fed their baby from one of the packs without noticing any pieces, it is very likely that the pack was not affected.
Nothing is more important to us than the quality of our products. We are sorry that this happened and would like to reassure you that this is an isolated incident linked to an equipment fault at our factory, which has now been resolved. Our factories maintain strict European and internationally-recognised standards, are regularly audited and meet all relevant legislation. We regret that this batch does not meet our usual standards and we have already taken action to reinforce our quality procedures.

What’s happened?

We have discovered due to a packaging error there is a small risk of some boxes not having the correct allergy information on the cardboard box, although the presence of fish oil is declared on the inner 90ml bottles. The product itself is perfectly safe and meets all nutritional and compositional requirements. As a precautionary measure, we are recalling Hipp Organic First infant milk starter pack 6x 90ml

The recall only concerns Hipp Organic First infant milk starter pack 6x 90ml with a best before date of 9th Jan 2020, 11th March 2020 and 5th April 2020.

Babies who are allergic to fish are advised not to consume the product concerned.

The safety of our consumers always comes first, and this is reflected in our rigorous quality standards. We recently found that a limited number of the above condoms made earlier this year are not passing our stringent shelf-life durability tests. 

Our tests have shown that some batches which are currently on the market in UK & Ireland do not pass the requirements for burst pressure towards the end of the shelf life for the product. The expiry date of the affected batches is between Dec. 2020 and Feb. 2021.

Only for the batches of condoms affected by this issue, there could be an increase in the number of condoms that burst during application or use. Always read the label which states “Should a condom leak or burst during use, seek doctor or pharmacist assistance as soon as possible, at least within 72 hrs."

There is no immediate safety concern for consumers and only a limited number of batches are affected.

After being informed by the manufacturer Moose Toys of Australia, and purely as a precautionary measure, Character Options Ltd, has decided to voluntarily recall the Little Live Pet Lil Frog (SKU: 28217) and Lil Frog Lily Pad (SKU: 28218) products. This is due to a design defect which could cause a potential safety issue if the batteries are removed.

Our supplier (Medela) has identified a potential safety issue with the detachable power plugs that come with the above products. As a precautionary measure they have launched a voluntary replacement programme for (Type G) detachable power plugs. This replacement programme is in response to a few isolated reports in which a detachable power plug reportedly broke apart as the plug was being removed from the wall, exposing live parts. These plugs were sold with the products from 2012 to September 18, 2016.

The pumps themselves are not affected, only the detachable plugs.

As a precautionary measure, Medela asks customers to comply with the following:

1.    While removing an affected power supply adapter from the socket, please remove the plug slowly and deliberately, apply as little force as possible, and handle the whole adapter with utmost attention and caution. If you apply a certain level of force, an affected detachable power plug might break apart.

2.    If the detachable power plug breaks, turn off the power source before removing it from the wall. Remove the detachable power plug from the power socket and do not use it before a replacement is sent to you.

3.    You may use the breast pumps Swing and Swing Maxi with batteries.

This cosmetic, bronzing effect product has been launched in the last 7 weeks and as a precautionary measure, St.Tropez has decided to initiate a voluntary recall of the product.

We recently undertook a recall of SEVENTEEN Instant Glow Bronzing Spray and Soltan Beautiful Bronze Wash Off Instant Bronzer after a small number of customers experienced an adverse respiratory reaction following application. With the wellbeing and trust of our customers in mind, we have taken a decision to remove from sale two additional aerosol based self-tanning products, including Soltan Beautiful Bronze Self-Tan Dry Mist Spray and No 7 Perfectly Bronzed Self-Tan 360, whilst we conduct a full investigation into the concerns raised.

We would like to reassure our customers that this is purely a precautionary measure whilst we thoroughly investigate the situation. We once again confirm that these products meet all required safety and quality standards.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but hope our customers understand that their wellbeing is our first priority. Filtrete™ Ultra Quiet Compact Air Purifier (FAP00-RS-2) and replacement filters (FAPF00)

We have been advised by 3M, that they are recalling their Filtrete™ Ultra Quiet Compact Air Purifier (FAP00-RS-2) and its replacement filters (FAPF00) because, on rare occasions, the device may overheat. For this reason 3M have decided to voluntarily recall this product.

If you have this product we urge you to immediately unplug it and stop using it. Please call the Filtrere Customer Helpline on 08001218692 or visit www.filtrete.co.uk/FAP00-RS-2webcontactform to find out how to return the product and how to arrange delivery of your replacement.

3M apologises to customers for the inconvenience and will replace recalled products with the Filtrete Ultra Quiet Compact Air Purifier FAP01-RS-2 model - an upgraded replacement.

If you also have any spare FAPF00 filters (other than the one supplied with the machine), they will be replaced with FAPF02 filters for your new model.

No other models of Filtrete™ Air Purifiers are affected by this recall.

Boots Hot Water Bottles

 

We've discovered a potential safety problem with Boots hot water bottles, bought between October 2005 and January 2007.

Because our customers' safety is important to us we've stopped selling the affected Boots hot water bottles and we're asking customers to return them to us. We're taking this measure because we've identified that there is a risk of the bottle splitting during use.

The affected hot water bottles were all manufactured in 2005 and were coloured in cream, blue and red. To check if you have one of the affected hot water bottles, please look at the circle on the back of the neck of the bottle. If the number moulded in the inner circle is 05, please stop using this product and return it to your nearest Boots store where you'll receive a replacement.

If your hot water bottle is inside a cover, you only need return the hot water bottle for an exchange, as the cover isn't affected. If you've bought this item for someone else would you please let them know about this as soon as possible.

Church & Dwight UK LTD have brought to our attention that two batches of Strimar – Isotonic 100ml, a natural isotonic sea water nasal spray, has had to be quarantined as it's unsuitable for sale. These batches (FE1248b and FE1249) may contain some microbiological contamination, which would have no impact for the majority of users. It could cause some users (for example, those who have had nasal or sinus surgery or who have a weaker immune system) to experience symptoms, which may lead to seeking medical advice.

As Boots and Church & Dwight UK LTD consider the health and safety of customers our number one priority, we've taken the decision to recall the affected batches immediately.
