  • Our supplier (Medela) has identified a potential safety issue with the detachable power plugs that come with the above products. As a precautionary measure they have launched a voluntary replacement programme for (Type G) detachable power plugs. This replacement programme is in response to a few isolated reports in which a detachable power plug reportedly broke apart as the plug was being removed from the wall, exposing live parts. These plugs were sold with the products from 2012 to September 18, 2016.

    The pumps themselves are not affected, only the detachable plugs.

    As a precautionary measure, Medela asks customers to comply with the following:

    1. While removing an affected power supply adapter from the socket, please remove the plug slowly and deliberately, apply as little force as possible, and handle the whole adapter with utmost attention and caution. If you apply a certain level of force, an affected detachable power plug might break apart.
    2. If the detachable power plug breaks, turn off the power source before removing it from the wall. Remove the detachable power plug from the power socket and do not use it before a replacement is sent to you.
    3. You may use the breast pumps Swing and Swing Maxi with batteries.
    4. If you have an affected plug, please contact Medela immediately. They will send you a free plug replacement as soon as possible. Please keep the power supply base, which is not affected.     Babymoov has noted a potential risk of the product's central screw coming loose, which could lead to a lack of stability in the seat.

    GSK Consumer Healthcare is recalling all MaxiNutrition® Cyclone Milk 330ml product, in all flavours, from consumers and retailers within the UK & Ireland. The decision to recall has been taken following an investigation after the company received some complaints regarding the safety of the product.

    In a small number of bottles, some of the creatine in the drink has recrystallised and may be found in the product.

    The quality of their products and safety of consumers is of paramount importance to GSK Consumer Healthcare. The company is investigating all reported incidents and undertaking a comprehensive review of the product formulation in order to resolve the issue.

    No other MaxiNutrition® products are affected by this action. This only applies to MaxiNutrition® Cyclone Milk 330ml, ready to drink strawberry and chocolate flavours.

    We would ask that you kindly return any MaxiNutrition® Cyclone Milk 330ml to your local Boots store for a full refund.

This cosmetic, bronzing effect product has been launched in the last 7 weeks and as a precautionary measure, St.Tropez has decided to initiate a voluntary recall of the product.

    We recently undertook a recall of SEVENTEEN Instant Glow Bronzing Spray and Soltan Beautiful Bronze Wash Off Instant Bronzer after a small number of customers experienced an adverse respiratory reaction following application. With the wellbeing and trust of our customers in mind, we have taken a decision to remove from sale two additional aerosol based self-tanning products, including Soltan Beautiful Bronze Self-Tan Dry Mist Spray and No 7 Perfectly Bronzed Self-Tan 360, whilst we conduct a full investigation into the concerns raised.

    We would like to reassure our customers that this is purely a precautionary measure whilst we thoroughly investigate the situation. We once again confirm that these products meet all required safety and quality standards.

    Filtrete™ Ultra Quiet Compact Air Purifier (FAP00-RS-2) and replacement filters (FAPF00)

    We have been advised by 3M, that they are recalling their Filtrete™ Ultra Quiet Compact Air Purifier (FAP00-RS-2) and its replacement filters (FAPF00) because, on rare occasions, the device may overheat. For this reason 3M have decided to voluntarily recall this product.

    If you have this product we urge you to immediately unplug it and stop using it. Please call the Filtrere Customer Helpline on 08001218692 or visit www.filtrete.co.uk/FAP00-RS-2webcontactform to find out how to return the product and how to arrange delivery of your replacement.

    3M apologises to customers for the inconvenience and will replace recalled products with the Filtrete Ultra Quiet Compact Air Purifier FAP01-RS-2 model - an upgraded replacement.

    If you also have any spare FAPF00 filters (other than the one supplied with the machine), they will be replaced with FAPF02 filters for your new model.

    No other models of Filtrete™ Air Purifiers are affected by this recall.

    Boots Hot Water Bottles

    We've discovered a potential safety problem with Boots hot water bottles, bought between October 2005 and January 2007.

    Because our customers' safety is important to us we've stopped selling the affected Boots hot water bottles and we're asking customers to return them to us. We're taking this measure because we've identified that there is a risk of the bottle splitting during use.

    The affected hot water bottles were all manufactured in 2005 and were coloured in cream, blue and red. To check if you have one of the affected hot water bottles, please look at the circle on the back of the neck of the bottle. If the number moulded in the inner circle is 05, please stop using this product and return it to your nearest Boots store where you'll receive a replacement.

    If your hot water bottle is inside a cover, you only need return the hot water bottle for an exchange, as the cover isn't affected. If you've bought this item for someone else would you please let them know about this as soon as possible.

    Church & Dwight UK LTD have brought to our attention that two batches of Strimar – Isotonic 100ml, a natural isotonic sea water nasal spray, has had to be quarantined as it's unsuitable for sale. These batches (FE1248b and FE1249) may contain some microbiological contamination, which would have no impact for the majority of users. It could cause some users (for example, those who have had nasal or sinus surgery or who have a weaker immune system) to experience symptoms, which may lead to seeking medical advice.


    As Boots and Church & Dwight UK LTD consider the health and safety of customers our number one priority, we've taken the decision to recall the affected batches immediately.


    The only batch numbers affected are FE1248b and FE1249 of Strimar – Isotonic 100ml.

The decision to recall has been taken following an investigation after the company received some complaints regarding the safety of the product.

    In a small number of bottles, some of the creatine in the drink has recrystallised and may be found in the product.

    The quality of their products and safety of consumers is of paramount importance to GSK Consumer Healthcare. The company is investigating all reported incidents and undertaking a comprehensive review of the product formulation in order to resolve the issue.

    We recently undertook a recall of SEVENTEEN Instant Glow Bronzing Spray and Soltan Beautiful Bronze Wash Off Instant Bronzer after a small number of customers experienced an adverse respiratory reaction following application. With the wellbeing and trust of our customers in mind, we have taken a decision to remove from sale two additional aerosol based self-tanning products, including Soltan Beautiful Bronze Self-Tan Dry Mist Spray and No 7 Perfectly Bronzed Self-Tan 360, whilst we conduct a full investigation into the concerns raised.

    We would like to reassure our customers that this is purely a precautionary measure whilst we thoroughly investigate the situation. We once again confirm that these products meet all required safety and quality standards.

    We have been advised by 3M, that they are recalling their Filtrete? Ultra Quiet Compact Air Purifier (FAP00-RS-2) and its replacement filters (FAPF00) because, on rare occasions, the device may overheat. For this reason 3M have decided to voluntarily recall this product.

    Boots Hot Water Bottles

    We've discovered a potential safety problem with Boots hot water bottles, bought between October 2005 and January 2007.

    Because our customers' safety is important to us we've stopped selling the affected Boots hot water bottles and we're asking customers to return them to us. We're taking this measure because we've identified that there is a risk of the bottle splitting during use.

    The affected hot water bottles were all manufactured in 2005 and were coloured in cream, blue and red. To check if you have one of the affected hot water bottles, please look at the circle on the back of the neck of the bottle. If the number moulded in the inner circle is 05, please stop using this product and return it to your nearest Boots store where you'll receive a replacement.

    If your hot water bottle is inside a cover, you only need return the hot water bottle for an exchange, as the cover isn't affected. If you've bought this item for someone else would you please let them know about this as soon as possible.

It could cause some users (for example, those who have had nasal or sinus surgery or who have a weaker immune system) to experience symptoms, which may lead to seeking medical advice.
