Updated 7 December 2020

We're constantly monitoring the changes to national and local restrictions and will update the safety measures in our stores in line with the latest guidance. If you have any question we suggest contacting your local store before you visit.

Click & Collect

Place an order online, in store, over the phone or with the Boots app and pick it up at one of our selected stores. Your nearest available store will be shown at checkout and there's free delivery on Click & Collect when you spend €25.

Customer limits

To help maintain social distancing, we’re limiting the number of people allowed in store. This means at busier times, there may be a queue to enter the store.

Face coverings

In line with recent Government guidelines, all customers and store colleagues should be wearing a face coverings or PPE when in store.

Please be aware that some people have a medical exemption to this and therefore will not be wearing a mask.

Social distancing

Please stay 2 metres apart from your fellow customers and store colleagues as you shop. There are floor markings in selected stores outside for queuing and at the checkout, as well as Perspex screens at tills and pharmacy counters to help keep everyone safe.

One-way system

Where necessary, we have a one-way system in place to help limit contact between customers. You’ll see arrows on the floor to guide you around the shop in the right direction.

Payment

We ask that you avoid cash and use contactless payment where possible. The limit for contactless has been increased from €30 to €50 to reduce physical contact at the checkout. You can also use your Boots Advantage Card while still being contactless. Simply download our app and link it to your card so you can collect points with your phone at your next shop.

Cleaning

Our stores are cleaned regularly, with particular attention paid to key touchpoints. If you have an appointment, please be assured that we will use disposable equipment where possible and thoroughly clean the area.

The Make-Up Exchange Promise

We have made the decision to remove all testers from our store during this time to keep both our colleagues and customers safe.

In a high-street first, we have introduced The Make-Up Exchange Promise, which allows customers to return opened beauty items within 35 days if they are the wrong shade, while testers are unavailable in stores.

Stephen Watkins, Managing Director of Boots Ireland, tells us about some of the plans to continue providing a safe shopping experience and safe working environment in stores across the Republic of Ireland.
