The active ingredient (which makes the medicine work) in Nurofen Express 200mg Tablets is ibuprofen 200mg (as sodium dihydrate 256mg). Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs). These medicines work by changing how the body responds to pain, swelling and high temperature.
Nurofen Express 200mg Tablets are used for the relief of fever and mild to moderate pain such as:
- headaches, period pain, and dental pain
- muscle pain and backache
- symptoms of colds and flu, and high temperature (fever)

How to use

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Adults, the Elderly and children over 12 years old:
Take the tablets by mouth only with a glass of water. Take 1 or 2 tablets with a glass of water up to 3 times a day if required. Leave at least 4 hours between doses and do not take more than 6 tablets in 24 hours.
- This product is for short term use only.
- The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest duration necessary to relieve symptoms. If you have an infection, consult a doctor without delay if symptoms (such as fever and pain) persist or worsen (see Section 2 of the Patient Information Leaflet).
- If your symptoms do not improve within 3 days consult your doctor.
- Do not give these tablets to children under 12 years.
If you have taken more Nurofen 200mg Express Tablets than you should, or if children have taken this medicine by accident always contact a doctor or nearest hospital to get an opinion of the risk and advise on action to be taken.
Warning - Do not exceed stated dose

This medicine may not be suitable for you if you have a medical condition or taking any medications such as those listed in the Patient Information Leaflet. Precautions
Consult your doctor or pharmacist if symptoms persist or get worse at any stage.
Seek advice before using if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, breastfeeding or suffer from allergies.
Storage
This medicinal product does not require any special storage precautions. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the outer carton and blister pack. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
