How to: ready-to-wear rose

Watch our how-to video tutorial

Pink is a shade that can work for every season, and it’s super adaptable. You can use it all over the face (cheeks, lips, even eyes) if you’re after an all-round, natural-looking flush, or you can focus on bringing colour to just one feature.

Watch our video tutorial on how to incorporate pink into your everyday make-up look.

Step 1 - Prep your base

Apply a primer for a smooth and even base. You’ll want your skin to look as radiant as possible, so a light-reflecting primer is recommended. We used the Smashbox Photo Finish Radiance Primer.

Step 2 - Apply foundation

Apply a lightweight foundation or CC cream and blend with a brush or sponge. This look works best with a barely-there base, so choose a product with light coverage and a dewy finish.

Step 3 - Rosy cheeks

Dab a cream blush onto the apples of your cheeks and blend with your fingertips. You’ll want to use just enough to get a rosy glow.

Step 4 - Lovely lips

Press on lipstick with your index finger for a final pop of colour. Applying it straight from the bullet can sometimes feel harsh, so using your finger softens the overall finish.
