Woody's beard balm 56.7g
I've had a beard for a coupe of years and I've been struggling to find a product that really works for me. I've tried various expensive beard moisturisers and conditioners but have yet to be convinced. I saw this in Boots and decided to give it a go. It's magnificent! It's more of a paste than a balm and a small amount spread over your palms goes a long way. Once applied, it leaves my beard feeling soft and in perfect shape. Best of all is the price. Extremely good value as a tub lasts for ages even with daily use. I've recently started adding a drop or two of beard oil (which I also get from Boots) for even better results.

Found it to be great, holds my beard in shape and no sticky mess. Hair feels soft but remains tidy. Only down side for me is there is no real fragrance to it but some may prefer this.

Another thumbs up
Initially I approached the idea of Beard Balms with some skepticism, but now there is no turning back after using this.
It makes bushier beards look well groomed and appear straighter (if that is sought) if brushed a particular way with the product in, and I echo other positive reviewers about it.
It is indeed more of a soft white paste than the hard wax balms seen on some YouTube videos which need to be scraped off with a thumb nail and warmed up. Any fears that this would mean using it up far more quickly are countered that a tub of this seems to go on and on and on....and on.
I purchased two tubs in late January 2016 and am still on the 'first' tub now in mid April with probably a few weeks of product still left and it has been used almost every day.
Because it is a softish paste, it means you probably won't need as much as you initially expect and will soon learn what works for you with application amounts, for your beard type.
Every day use for me was putting more of it on the sides of my beard to give a neat look, flattening down strays and to bring straightness to the front length, applying it more on the surface levels than applying really deep down into the beard with fingers. Leaving it a couple of minutes and then lightly brushing the surface seems to bring some great shaping.
Unlike another reviewers comment, to me it does have quite a strong scent (at first) during / upon application and initially I wasn't sure if I was keen on it but now I really do like it. I guess it has become associated with the joy of the ritual of beard grooming, and it doesn't stay there long afterwards.
In that sense, no it won't give a scent lasting all day, but then again even beard oil scents tend to be quite fleeting as well.
