Similac Growing Up Milk 850g

Message from the manufacturer:

At Abbott, we have taken the decision to discontinue our standard Similac range of baby and toddler milks sold in Boots to re-focus our infant and paediatric nutrition business on our specialist ranges to better support babies who are unwell and have specific nutritional requirements.
We understand that it can be tricky for customers to move babies to a different baby milk, which is why we will also be offering the support of a feeding specialist from January. For more details and advice, customers can email or call our careline 0800 999 3963 (ROI 1800 411 411).

How to use

Please ensure you read and follow all instructions carefully, as adding too much or too little formula to your toddler’s bottle, beaker or cup could be harmful and make them ill. Whilst they are made under hygienic conditions, powdered infant formulas and milks are not sterile.

1. Before you start, wash your hands and thoroughly wash and rinse all equipment to be used in preparing the drink.

2. Measure 180 ml boiled, cooled water into a clean beaker.

3. Fill the enclosed scoop with powder, levelling with the back of a clean, dry, knife. Do not pack down in the scoop

4. Add 3 scoops of powder to the beaker (one scoop of powder to each 60 ml of water). Only use the scoop provided. Adding too many or too few scoops can be harmful

5. Place the cap on the beaker and shake gently until completely dissolved

6. Similac Growing Up Milk can be given at room temperature, or warmed if desired. If you choose to warm the formula, please check the temperature before feeding by testing a few drops on your wrist.

Important additional information

Hazards and Cautions

Suggested feeding guide

Toddlers’ nutritional requirements will vary, but after 12 months we recommend your child has around 400ml milk each day to supplement their healthy balanced diet.

You can also mix the prepared milk with cereal or other solid foods however, please never add any food into your toddler’s beaker.

Please speak to your healthcare professional if you require more advice.

Important notice

Do not allow prolonged or frequent contact of drinks with your toddler’s teeth as this increases the risk of tooth decay.

Good dental hygiene is important for babies and toddlers.

Please speak with your healthcare professional or dentist for advice.

my son likes it My son is going through a stage of fussy eating and this growing up milk reassures me that he is getting more nutrients and vitamins even thought he is eating little food at the moment. I simply make the formula and add his favourite cereals to it. Breakfast will be sorted even on holiday! July 14, 2016
Waste of money My toddler was not a fan and refused to drink this formula . It appears to be quite thick Its quite pricey for formula I wouldnt buy again July 15, 2016
Just add fruit! My 2 year old son didn't like this at all - he prefers a cup of milk. However, as it's quite thick and was pricey I decided to try and make a milk shake out of it which he was definitely more interested in and it got him eating blueberries and raspberries. I cooled the formula before I added the fruit and as its been hot added some ice cubes :) But expensive to use just for this though :) July 19, 2016
