Revlon ColorStay Makeup For Normal/Dry Skin
Great coverage at a decent price
Having always been a high end foundation kind of girl paying £29 for my usual Lancome product was just no longer an option after I had children and became a stay at home mum wth no income. For the past few years I've been trying to find a reasonably priced foundation which provides a good amount of coverage, doesn't look like a mask or feel too heavy on the skin, doesn't make me break out, lasts all day or a whole night of clubbing (on the rare occasions I go these days), doesn't have a strong smell, doesn't sit in my pores and just generally gives my skin a lovely finish. Not too much of a tall order then ;)
I first tried this on the recommendation of a few ladies on a beauty group I'm a member of who said this is a product which offers a good level of coverage. Tied in with a special offer that was running I decided to give it a try.
I really love this foundation and it is now one of my holy grail products. It applies beautifully, doesn't sit in my pores, doesn't dry out my skin or make it look greasy, stays on all day or for a nights worth of raving and most importantly covers all my imperfections and gives a much more polished appearance to my skin.
I like the pump action dispenser as it means I don't end up battling trying to squeeze product out of a tube (especially towards the end) the glass bottle does make it heavy but I can cope with that.
I also like that it comes in two versions for either dry/normal skin or oily/combination skin so perfect for anyone no matter what your skin type.
I would definitely recommend this foundation if you are looking for a product which provides good coverage without feeling too heavy on the skin. It's not too badly priced and is often on offer too so keep your eyes open.

Used this a long time ago then tried other more expensive makes. Definitely will be sticking with what works from now on, excellent coverage without clogging. My skin is quite even anyhow but I prefer a good even coverage and this gives a great base for blUsher to adhere to also.

Not the best
I absolutely love Revlon products and am usually overjoyed with them, however shame the same can't be said for this.
The first first few times I used it my forehead and cheeks were left with extremely flaky patches, emphasizing my dry skin. Infact prior to using Revlon ColourStay the dry skin was barely visible. I was incredibly disappointed that a product for dry skin made my skin dryer. I'm not one who gets spots but I had a major breakout using this product which is very disappointing.
The coverage isn't the best in all honesty.
What I did like about this foundation is that it does feel like a moisturier, and it lasts throughput the day. Also, a little goes a long way.
I tried using the foundation again after an extreme beauty regime of my elemis pro collogen super system kit. When I applied the foundation this time there wasn't any signs of flaky skin to my delight. However it doesn't detract from the floors I found with this product, the coverage isn't the best, it's prone to bring you out in spots, and it's not the best for dry skin.
I received this product in exchange for my unbiased review and that's exactly what this is.
