Maybelline Eye Studio Master Smokey
Fast track to smoky eyes.
I bought this in the 2 for £10 offer at Boots along with their new smoky eyes mascara. I normally wear liquid eyeliner, but I love the sultry appearance of smoky eyes and wanted to see if this would be a quick and easy way to get them.
The product comes in a few colours. I opted for the black one. It has a thick pencil at one end and a sponge applicator for smudging at the other. First of all, you draw on a thick line with the pencil and then smudge it to get your smoky eye. It really is that easy! The smudging tool is nice and soft, so it doesn't feel too harsh to drag across your eyelid. You can control how dark you want it really easily. Just smudge it more to make it lighter, or add more to get it darker!
As far as staying power goes, I've not worn it to any hot, packed nightclubs yet, but given how easy this is to apply, it wouldn't be difficult to reapply if it started wearing off.
Overall, I think this is a great product, particularly for novices who might not feel confident doing smoky eyes. It's definitely become a staple of my make-up bag.

Now I am able to create the soft, diffused smoky eye look without faffing round, I have blue/green eyes and bought the navy and grey colours. They are both really good, and easy to blend. I always use an eye base first, which makes it easy to smudge. So you can be as subtle or dramatic as you want to. A good product. In fact, I am about to order two more!!

This pencil can product a great effect on your eyes however I wouldn't really call it "smoky" At first I found it very difficult to apply but after a couple of uses I was able to create the look I wanted. The best thing about this product is it is long lasting!
