I needed a new powder and I bought this on a whim because I just fancied something new, I deliberated over the shades and ended up settling on number 13 'Nouveau Beige" although I was going to get 'Translucent" up until the last minute. The shade itself is very ashy, it's not a "skin" colour if you will, which put me off.
I've said it before about Max Factor, the same with Nivea - it reminds me of my Nan, the strong perfume smell is unnecessary but it's not as bad as everybody makes out. Aside from the shade and smell the powder itself is okay, it has good oil control but it leans towards drying so if you have dry skin I would avoid. It is finely milled and it doesn't look cakey or powdery. Based on the pros and cons I wouldn't repurchase as it isn't anything special it's just okay.

As a product, this does the job for a high street finishing powder. However the smell of the stuff is horrendous and very strong. Wasted 6 quid on this only to be binned an hour later. Do not recommend.

Keeps my foundation in place all day!
I have fair skin - so I use the no.5 Translucent pressed powder to patt my liquid lno.10 ivory dream satin maybelline foundation in place.
It is extremely good at keeping foundation in place, feels like silk on the skin.
I would definitely recommend
