Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser - Normal/Combination 50ml
I've always been lucky enough to have good skin but the last few months it has been looking a little dull. So I went on a major skin care assault! Buying and testing EVERYTHING! Nothing really worked - in fact, most things seemed to aggravate my skin more.I bought the Liz Earle combo kit after reading amazing reviews on the hot cloth cleanser. I have to say it worked. Really calmed my skin down but I didn't feel the "wow factor" (I know, I know, one has to have patience and continue to use to really see results.)
Anyway... I got bored and wanted to try products containing vitamin C as I read this is an amazing vitamin for skin and promotes anti-aging. Bought a Vitamin C day cream containing SPF15 (Liz Earle Skin Repair moisturizer does not contain SPF which is another reason I wanted to switch ) and I started to break out like nobodies business. Angry red spots everywhere! I didn't know what I'd done wrong! I have recently started using Boots Retinol Reface and wondered if it was that. So I decided to stop using the Vitamin C day cream (as it left a sticky residue which made me wonder if it was clogging my pores) and reverted to the Liz Earle Skin Repair moisturiser and it has sorted me right out! Spots gone, skin is hydrated. Rubs in immediately, doesn't leave residue. Kind to skin. Natural active ingredients.
I'm going to continue with the Liz Earle moisturizer. The only con is that is doesn't contain SPF.

I found that instead of being absorbed, this product sits on the skin, leading to clogged pores. My skin is not oily yet not dry (combination as they call it) but I think this product is way too heavy for this skin type. Despite this, all ingredients are natural which is positive.

I actually have dry skin but had a sample of this, and its great! It's really quite rich considering it is aimed at combination skin. It has a light scent which doesn't irritate my skin but is something to consider. I actually used this when I was 22 and found it farr too rich. Three years on and my skin is enjoying it much more!
