John Frieda Beach Blonde Kelp Help Deep Conditioning Masque 150ml
Gave it a chance - and was happy with results
I've recently dye stripped my curly hair from dark brown to blonde and the condition of my hair suffered as a result. Despite using deep conditioners, I was seeing no improvement and stumbled across this product whilst instore. It was new and I knew nothing about it's results, however after using other John Fredia products I had a feeling that I was not going to be disappointed.
And I wasn't - I left the masque on for 5 mins and my hair felt and looked much better afterwards. Will now continue to use twice weekly to restore condition of hair.
For some, the smell may be offputting - I'd suggest opening the product before use and smelling to assess whether it would bother you.

very different from the old version
As a previous devotee of Beach Blonde I was ecstatic when I heard it was coming back.
Kelp Help has morphed into something totally different. Where previously it was a herby/seaweed type scent it has now been loaded with menthol. This isn't entirely unwelcome but I was expecting a relaxing experience rather than a stimulating one - the old gen version was the sunset yoga to the shampoo/conditioners early morning surf.
I don't leave this on for any longer than 3 minutes - it's just too menthol-y but after a hot day I could imagine this would be wonderful.
Everything else remains the same as the old, deep conditioning but light formula and texture, long lasting scent and shine.
Be warned, those who used this previously, the new pack is around half the size if not smaller!

A masque that really works.
After using many hair masques in the past I was still on the search for one that ticked all the boxes. Other than the product having a very strong menthol smell it really does make your hair feel nourished. I left the masque on for 5 minutes after shampooing and it left my hair amazingly soft and really easy to brush through. The condition of my hair felt as though it had improved after the first use and I will definitely carry on using this masque as a conditioning treatment when my hair is needing more than a regular conditioner.
