The worst I have EVER used Firstly, I have never left a review for anything before and had to hunt high and low to find the advantage card in order to sign up so I could write this one. This is the worst hair dye I have ever used. I will try and give an overall picture of how bad it is with some hair history. This is my story... I have been dying my hair myself using home hair colours on and off for about 7 years, I've only ever had one disaster, early on (attempting to strip at least 10 layers of choc brown back to blonde - my own error). I'm naturally blonde but had the remnants of some lighter blonde dye on the ends - the sun bleached my roots so it was all the same before using this and I had not coloured my hair since June (over 3 months). I do know what I'm doing having done this many times before but read the instructions as it's a new formula just in case there were any differences. Followed the 'not coloured for 3 months' instructions and left it for the full 30 minute development time. My first issue with this dye is the consistency - it's thick and completely tangles your hair, I couldn't tease my fingers through it, horrible (#somethingaboutmary). The result though is just AWFUL and is my motivation for writing this. It is SO PATCHY. There are random patches all over where it hasn't taken, and equally random patches of very dark colour. Overall (if you squint to try to block out the patches) it's a very mucky colour and I don't think any of the patches match the box. Hideous. Yes ok it doesn't smell. But it also doesn't work. My hair is as dry, if not worse, than it normally would be after colouring with say the Nice'n'Easy foam (I will be going back to that when my hair feels as though it's recovered a bit in hope of evening it out). Completely useless. Rant over. October 16, 2012
Blonde? Where?! I used this on my light brown hair and it came out a darker brown than it was previously...?! I'm baffled. I followed the instructions to the letter and it's actually DARKER than it started. Awful. October 24, 2012
Dreadful! I've dyed my hair many times and this has to be the worst dye I have ever used. The dye made no difference to my hair colour and there was only just enough dye to cover my hair (I had to scrape the bottle) - unusual as my hair sits at my shoulders so it really isn't that long! There was no point in spending the money on this product and I won't be buying an Olia hair dye again. October 28, 2012
