You are now leaving Boots.ie. BootsWebMD is UK specific, GP reviewed health information, providing information on a wide variety of health topics.
Travelling abroad is an exciting experience but with so many things to see and do, the basics like health and safety are often taken for granted. The most common problems are sunburn, diarrhoea, mosquito bites, accidents and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
We can help you prepare a travel kit of essentials including painkillers, antiseptic, insect repellent and anti-diarrhoea tablets, and advice on protection against the sun.
Depending on where you are travelling to, you may need vaccinations and/or malaria prevention medication. Your Boots pharmacist can dispense prescriptions for these medicines as well as providing information on their use.
Children need extra protection from conditions such as sunburn, travel sickness and food poisoning, but adults can also suffer.
Speak to your Boots Pharmacy team for more details.
