NUK First Choice Bottles are designed to be used with First Choice teats. NUK Size 1 teats are suitable for children aged 0-6 months. The NUK Anti-Colic Air System helps to prevent colic by allowing air to flow into the bottle through a vent. This ensures that no air is swallowed during feeding.
To make life easier, you have to understand it first! For more than 60 years, NUK has been listening to the trusted experts; midwives, doctors, nutritionists and especially mothers and fathers, in order to learn about the needs of mother and baby in those precious early years. The NUK orthodontic, asymmetric shape is designed to optimally fit baby’s mouth, encouraging the healthy development of the oral cavity. For this reason, NUK are the only brand to have both teats and soothers approved by the British Dental Health Foundation.
NUK FIRST CHOICE Teats are specially developed to support breastfeeding, enabling mothers to alternate between breast and bottle at any time. The teat is shaped to mimic mother’s nipple during breastfeeding, which reduces nipple confusion and encourages latch on. The teat also benefits from the NUK Anti-Colic AIR SYSTEM. A special shape and AIR SYSTEM, for as natural a feeding experience as possible.
Approved by the British Dental Health Foundation.
How to Use
Breastfeeding is best for babies!
General: Only administer food and drink in the quantity and consistency recommended by the manufacturer. Do not expose the teat to direct sunlight/heat or leave in disinfectants (sterilising solution) for longer than the stated time as this can damage the teat.
Preparation: When preparing feeds always follow the temperature specifications of the feed manufacturer.
Cleaning Bottles, Teats & Accessories: Boil (sterilise) bottles, teats and accessories for 5 minutes before first use and clean and sterilise thoroughly before each subsequent use. When boiling, always check that there is sufficient liquid in the pan to avoid damaging teats and bottles (a boiling time of about 5 minutes is su cient). Teats and bottles do not belong in the dishwasher as dishwasher detergents can cause material damage! Always dismantle the bottle for boiling or steam-sterilising (temperature above 80°C) into its component parts and leave it open, otherwise deformation may result. When using any steriliser or sterilising solution be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions.
PP (Polypropylene) Bottles: All polypropylene bottles are marked with the symbol “PP”. Certain constituents of drinks may discolour the material or affect its odour. This has no effect on the safety or ability of the bottles.
