Arrow Product details

Boots Sports Strapping 2.5m x 6cm is designed to support and protect joints during sporting activities. It can be used to provide support to existing strain injuries or to help prevent injuries occuring.

This bandage is flexible, durable and breathable to minimise perspiration.

Suitable for

Suitable for adults and children.

How to use

Cut the bandage to the desired length.
Stick the bandage directly on to clean, dry, non-greasy skin.
It is not necessary to use maximum force when primarily applying the bandage.
The more of the product that is used, the greater the tension created.
Relax the tension in the bandage, and make a turn to cover the first turn.
Continue to wrap the bandage, overlapping each layer by half the width of the bandage.
Make the final turn without tension and ensure it covers the previous turn completely.
If the bandage becomes too tight, for example after exercise or if swelling recurs, remove immediately.

Always read the product information before use.

Hazards and Cautions

Although this strapping has been manufactured using a hypoallergenic adhesive, if worn over a prolonged period of time, another material should be used under the strapping by those with sensitive skin.

DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN

The bandage should be secure but not too tight as this may cause swelling or cut circulation.

To minimise swelling and reduce pain after an injury use the following techniques:

P. Protection: Protect the injury from further damage by wearing the strapping.

R. Rest: Avoid activity that causes pain in the first 48-72 hours after the injury.

I. Ice: Cool the area as soon as possible for 15-20 mintues every 2-3 hours to limit pain and inflamation.

C. Compression: Use supports or bandages to compress the affected area and reduce the swelling.

E. Elevation: Keep the injured area raised and supported to help reduce the swelling.

Note:

If the support is being used following an injury seek medical advice if not improvement is seen within 72 hours. If the injury is severe or if in doubt seek medical advice immediately.

Do not apply directly onto a wound.

Do not use after the expiry date - see base of pack.

Use only once.
