Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Cleansing & Toning Lotion 150ml
For the price this is a very good product, it removes all traces of make-up and dirt unlike other cleansers which are creamy based and leave my oily skin still oily. This does dry my skin but to a manageable and ungreasy level.

Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Cleansing and Toning Lotion
I got this as part of the 3 for 2 offer and I'm glad that I did.
I never used toner before but I heard it was good to use as part of your skincare regime. I have oily/combination skin and this product does not dry my skin at all. It is extremely effective at removing last traces of make-up and cleansing my skin at the same time. My skin feels squeaky clean after using this and when you apply it to your skin, it is very refreshing and cooling, presumably because of the tea tree in it.
I don't have spots; just the odd one sometimes but I do have a few blemishes from past breakouts and after about a week of using this (morning and night, after washing my face), I could see that the pigmentation was noticeably reduced, which is a massive plus.
This product is very, very affordable and reasonable for the quality. I would quite happily purchase again.
I use it in conjunction with the Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Foaming Face Wash, a product that is again, very good but that deserves a review of its own.
However, I would be careful with using it around your eyes, as I find that it stings slightly because the tea tree is quite strong.
The smell, I think, is a love-hate one. If you like the smell of tea tree then you will like this. It is not particularly strong though so it's a minor issue.
I recommend it for people with oily to combination skin, as it proved very effective at controlling shine but I'm not sure how it would fare on dry skin. The advantages outweigh the disadvantages by a mile so it's definitely one worth trying.
Now, a summary:
January 2, 2012
100% on my essential skincare list.
I first bought this toner years ago, and I've been a dedicated fan ever since. It's one of the few of many, many skincare products for blemish-prone skin that has worked well for me and that I would come back to again and again.
It's easy to apply, smells ...like tea tree oil. When you apply it with a cotton pad you can feel the pores tightening to it. It effectively removes make up and excess oil. ...I'm sure it helps to keep away spots at the best of times and it certainly helps to dry them out if you have them.
I have oily skin, prone to break-outs, and this toner works wonders for me. ...Best to buy when Boots do a £5 for 2 offer.
