I am a comparatively recent convert to mouthwash, but it's now one of my essentials. This one is affordable.
One of the bottles I chose was the Smile Sensitive Antiseptic Mouthwash. The see-through bottle has a pink metallic label with the Boots Smile design of white circles and the product name. The label is reasonably attractive and eye-catching: but then you don't buy mouthwash for the packaging!
The mouthwash itself is a kind of aqua blue in colour and the flavour is described as 'Freshmint'. After I removed the cap (which was rather tricky), I tried the mouthwash out and found that it certainly tasted both minty and fresh. However it was quite mild: it certainly does not provide that 'whoosh' feeling that other mouthwash does.
I've used up the whole bottle now: so, does the mouthwash live up to its claims? I'm not a scientist, so I can't judge whether or not the product kills bacteria. This is a common claim made by makers of mouthwashes, and I can't imagine this mouthwash is any worse than most, although it does feel milder than, say, Listerine, and designing a mouthwash for sensitive teeth and gums may mean that compromises have to be reached over the product's strength. However, all this is merely conjecture. Similarly, I can't prove whether or not the mouthwash provides long-lasting plaque protection, but my mouth DOES feel clean and fresh for a long time after using the product, which I feel is promising. One thing I CAN say is that the product helps freshen breath, if not to the extent of the really strong Listerine mouthwash I tried - and that was SO strong that it made my teeth more sensitive!
