Batiste Dry Shampoo Original - Clean & Classic 400ml
Talc is cheaper.
I've tried this and a few of the other smelling ones, and they do work, so far as they make the greasy roots look lighter and fresher and newer.
BUT, squeazing a bit of upright talc powder towards your roots, and putting a bit on your hands and running it through the roots then turning your head upside down and shaking any excess out a bit, works JUST AS WELL IF NOT BETTER!
Talc is cheaper, so I probably wouldn't get this again unless I was desperate and didn't have that extra 30 secs to use the talc. =/ (not likely)
Also, the smell of this stuff is strong and off putting when I'm wearing perfume or body spray. =/

A life saver and every day must !!
I LOVE this dry shampoo ! I have tried other brands and they just make my hair look worse, Batiste is the only brand which genuinely works that I have tried. For the days when you wake up late for work, or you just cant be bothered to wash your hair, just simply spray this into your roots and it looks as if you have just washed it ! they smell gorgeous as well. I dont know what the other person was saying when she said the smell is overpowering, its lovely ! And normal talc DOES NOT work just as well ! It may stop your hair looking as greasy but it doesnt smell nice and goes all bitty, this doesnt !

Works well, smells like Lemsip
I've given up on the search for a better dry shampoo, as I think Batiste is definitely the winner for a cheap, affordable brand of dry shampoo. The original works really well, like most of its other products, however it does smell like Lemsip (basically a chemically lemon scent), although I noticed it did disappear after a while - however it's probably the one that imitates freshness the most, as some of the other products by Batiste have quite an artificial scent (I'm thinking cherry especially). There is a touch of whiteness sometimes if you spray it too close to your head, so make sure you don't; otherwise you can rub it out with your fingers. Overall, a very good product which does its function well, although I'd love for Batiste to come up with some more pleasant, salon-like fragrances.
