Republic of Ireland Advantage Card scheme

1. General Advantage Card scheme conditions

i.                     The Advantage Card scheme (the “Scheme”) and Advantage Card is operated by Boots (Boots Retail (Ireland) Limited 2F, Block 71A, Park West Business Park, Nangor Road, Dublin 12 Ireland) (Boots). Please do not send correspondence to this address.
ii.                     To get the latest Terms and Conditions or for general enquiries please call 0 890 200085* or write to Boots Customer Care, PO Box 5300, Nottingham, NG90 1AA.
iii.                  . Boots can cancel, withdraw or alter the Scheme, including these Terms and Conditions, or any individual Advantage Card, at any time.
iv.                    All Advantage Cards including temporary cards belong to Boots.
v.                     The Republic of Ireland Advantage Card scheme is only valid in Republic of Ireland Boots stores.
vi.                    We do not issue additional cards for the same account.
vii.                  Boots can take any action it considers appropriate if we have reason to believe that you are abusing the scheme or associated clubs.
viii.                 Boots will remove Advantage Card points from Advantage Cards that haven't been used for 3 years.
 
2. Data protection
We will only share your details with companies in the Alliance Boots group and businesses that process Advantage Card information on our behalf (in the Republic of Ireland, UK and abroad), for example to produce your Advantage Card and print our mailings. We will analyse your purchase history to provide you with relevant and personalised offers, information and advice.
 
3. Temporary Advantage Card
i.                     A temporary Advantage Card can only be used to collect points. You must use your permanent Advantage Card to be able to spend the points that you have collected.
ii.                     You must apply for your permanent Advantage Card within 12 months of first using your temporary Advantage Card, otherwise all points collected on your temporary card will be lost and no further points can be assigned to the card.
iii.                   Some offers are only available to permanent Advantage Card holders.
iv.                    It's up to you to keep your temporary Advantage Card safe, photocopies will not be accepted.
v.                    If you lose your temporary Advantage Card before you apply for your permanent Advantage Card, the points collected will be lost.
vi.                    You must stop using your temporary Advantage Card as soon as your permanent card arrives.
 
4. Collecting Advantage Card points
i.                     You will collect 4 Advantage Card points for every €1 you spend on qualifying purchases; the number of points collected may vary. In store, points will usually be added to your Advantage Card at the time you buy products and services included in the Scheme.
ii.                    If you forget your Advantage Card, please ask the cashier to validate your receipt. You will need to provide the validated receipt within 45 days of the transaction with your Advantage Card to be able to collect your points.
iii.                   Points are not available on prescription items, infant milks (up to 6 months), gift vouchers, and the plastic bag levy.
iv.                   During points events, existing points promotions will not be multiplied.
v.                     Boots Retail (Ireland) Limited reserves the right to withdraw points promotions/offers without notice.
 
5. Spending Advantage Card points
i.                     1 point is worth 1 cent to spend on products in store. We will not exchange Advantage Card points for cash and the offer is non-transferable.
ii.                     Points cannot be spent on prescription items, licensed medicines, infant milks (up to 6 months), gift vouchers and the plastic bag levy. You must have enough points to cover the cost of the item; you cannot make a part payment of points towards a product or service.
iii.                  You will not qualify for points or extra points offers on products or services when you pay with points.
iv.                   We reserve the right to substitute or remove products and services available for points collection and redemption in store without notice.
v.                    Points redemption is subject to store network availability
 
6. Returning goods
i.                     If you return a product, we will deduct the number of points collect from your Advantage Card account.
ii.                     If a product you buy with points is faulty, please return it to any Republic of Ireland Boots store. If necessary we will re-credit your account with the right number of points. No cash refund will be given in these circumstances.
