This year we have joined forces with The Irish Hospice Foundation in a bid to raise much needed funds to support the development of a dedicated national hospice service for children with life-limiting illnesses.

The Irish Hospice Foundation supports the development of hospice care and promotes the hospice philosophy and facilitates the practice of hospice care in all its aspects.

Eugene Murray, CEO of the Irish Hospice ‘Foundation says, “We are sincerely grateful to have the support of an organisation such as Boots; it truly means a whole lot particularly in this current economic climate. It is heart warming to work with such an enthusiastic group of people and see how they engage and fundraise for the very worthy cause that is paediatric palliative care.”

Boots Chief Pharmacist Mary Rose Burke said “We, at Boots, are delighted to have selected the Irish Hospice Foundation as our charity partner and getting involved in what is such a valuable and rewarding partnership. We will be fundraising to support the much needed Children’s Palliative Care programme. We believe we can really make a difference by harnessing the fundraising power of our staff in 58+ branches nationwide. It has been great to see the level of enthusiasm shown by Boots staff towards the Irish Hospice Foundation”
